Prices locked at noon Eastern yesterday. The draft room is open, and it stays open until the season kicks off on Sep 9. That is 14 days to build one roster you have to live with.

618 players, and most of them are cheap
Everybody on the board costs between $4.0 and $17.0. You have $100 to fill 12 spots.
QB: 90 priced, highest priced player is at $12.2
RB: 168 priced, highest priced at $17.0
WR: 243 priced, highest priced at $16.7
TE: 117 priced, highest priced at $14.7
The median price is $4.6. 149 players sit right on the 8.3 or less. The board is mostly cheap, and the cap only bites at the very top. Spread your 8.3 a man, which is roughly Joe Burrow money ($8.9). Nobody is going to do that. The interesting part of your roster is which 3 or 4 spots you decide to overpay for.

Gibbs at $17.0 is 17% of your cap in one roster spot. Take him and Chase and you have spent a third of your money on 2 of your 12.
The quarterback thing
The most expensive quarterback on the board is Josh Allen at $12.2, and 22 skill players are priced above him. That is not me being clever, it falls out of the scoring.
The captain multiplier here is a flat 2.0x at every position. There is no extra premium sitting on quarterbacks, so the thing that makes a QB expensive in most formats does not apply. Across 2023 to 2025, pooled over MTC weeks 1 through 17, the week-winning captain was a WR 45% of the time, an RB 31%, a QB 14% and a TE 10%.
You still need a quarterback. You need exactly 1, and you are buying him for his floor and the slot he fills, not for the C on his chest. Whether that is Allen at 6 who lets you afford a second elite receiver is the first real decision the board hands you.
What happens next
Wed Sep 9, 8:20 PM ET: Week 1 kicks off and registration closes. There is no late entry and no prorated scoring, so a roster submitted at 8:21 is a roster for next season.
Every Tuesday after that: scores settle, prices float, and the leaderboard rebuilds.
Prices move once the season starts, up to $0.2 a week per player. So the board you draft off today is the cheapest some of these guys will ever be and the most expensive some of the others will ever be. Get in early on somebody and you get to sell into the rise.
